Absent is Blue Suede Shoes, yet this list of most popular Elvis hits is a stirring collection of personal love songs from (Let me Be) Your Teddy Bear to Return To Sender.

Born on January 8, 1935, Elvis Aaron Presley was one of the world’s most inspiring musical performers.

Audiences became even more fascinated with the Memphis superstar after his premature death on August 16, 1977. Most experts agree that long-term drug abuse was a strong contributing factor to the singer's early demise.

Generations of Elvis Presley fans continue to feel a unique connection to Elvis, his stage presence, distinctive voice and not least of all – his movie star good looks.

While not strictly speaking a song writer, Elvis did contribute lyrics to songs like Love Me Tender and All Shook Up. The King of Rock and Roll’s superlative gift was the ability to take ownership of every lyric as if he was singing personalized messages to each member of his audience.

Below are Elvis Presley’s most requested songs according to the latest Pop Culture Madness survey.
